Are you Struggling with Health Issues?

Hendricks Farm provides access to clean, healthy, and tasty food options…

...so you can heal your body from the inside out!

Aren’t You Worried That Your Food Is Making You Sick?

Food allergens can still lurk in your food even when not listed on the ingredient list.  Studies have shown that what an animal eats ends up in the meat, eggs, etc. of that animal, and companies don’t have to disclose the animal feed ingredients on the end product label.

For more than a decade, I struggled firsthand with being able to eat meat or eggs.  Doctors were not able to help me, and I was left to my own devices to figure out what the problem was.

After years of research, I discovered it was the soy in the egg causing a debilitating cascade of symptoms and NOT the egg itself.  Soy is the #1 ingredient in most animal feeds (even organic feeds!), because soy is a cheap protein that helps chickens grow and mature faster. Which is good for factory farm profits but exasperates women’s health issues.

As an experiment, we decided to raise our own Heritage Chickens on Non-Gmo, Soy-Free, Non Medicated feed to see if I could tolerate an egg again. Lo and behold, I suffered no ill effects from our farm fresh eggs. In fact, I actually felt better and had more energy.

Over the next few months, my testing expanded into eating the chicken meat and drinking the bone broth. I was shocked at the incredible flavor and amazing texture. My energy increased and my hair thickened. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but our farm fresh food was definitely healing my body from the inside out.

HEALTH ISSUES OF COMMERCIAL MEAT

Commercial chicken houses are out to make a profit at the expense of your personal health.  Chicken has changed over the past 100 years. 99.9% of all animal feed is made up of GMO Soy and Corn. These unhealthy, fatty birds are now sold as the standard grocery store chicken.

The health issues of both cows and chickens are kept a secret from the public, so that the Big Producers can continue to mass produce meat. Today, the only way to feed your family healthy and clean meat is to find a local farmer to buy from who isn’t feeding the standard soy-based commercial feed. I know firsthand that this is difficult to do, because I almost gave up on finding a chicken feed that met my high standards.

MISLEADING LABELS

Most people think that “Organic” means they found a healthy option, but “organic soy” is still the most-used cheap filler in commercial feed. There are a lot of other marketing terms out there that just further confuse the issue… “cage-free”, “free-range”, “pasture-raised”, etc. Companies throw these out to give customers a warm fuzzy about being healthy, ethical, etc.

"Cage-Free" can still mean being overcrowded in an enclosed concrete-floor building
with no access to sunlight or fresh air.

"Free Range" means that they have access to the outside, even if it is only 1 sq ft
of access possible to thousands of birds in an enclosed building.

"Pasture Raised" can mean that the birds are in chicken tractors out on grass, but still
being fed commercial soy-based feed as their primary food source. These chickens are too unhealthy and weak to exercise and to hunt for natural food sources.

And with beef, "Grass-Fed" doesn't necessarily mean 100% grass-fed from start to finish. It usually means they were fed grass at some point in its life, but then finished on GMO grain to fatten it up.

What does a Healthy Free-Range Chicken mean to us?

It means that our chickens have access to Non-Gmo, Soy-Free, Corn-Free, Non-Medicated feed and clean, fresh water from birth. As these chicks grow, they can enjoy basking in the sun or lounging in the shade. They can hunt for their own food and take dust baths. They can have a clucking good time living their best chicken life.
